C(2022) 3689:\n\"Nanomaterial\" means a natural, accidentally formed or manufactured material consisting of solid particles that are present either individually or as identifiable constituent particles in aggregates or agglomerates, with at least 50 % of these particles, in numerical size distribution, meeting at least one of the following conditions:\n(a) one or more external dimensions of the particle are in the range 1 nm to 100 nm;\n(b) the particle has an elongated shape, such as that of a rod, fiber or tube, with two external dimensions less than 1 nm and the other greater than 100 nm;\n(c) the particle is plate-shaped, with one external dimension less than 1 nm and the other dimensions greater than 100 nm.\nTo determine the numerical particle size distribution, it is not necessary to consider particles with at least two orthogonal external dimensions greater than 100 \u03bcm.\nHowever, a material with a specific surface area by volume of less than 6 m2\/cm3 is not considered to be a <span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips1'>nanomaterial<\/span>.\n Texte complet: \u00e0 100 nm;<br\/>(b) la particule pr\u00e9sente une forme allong\u00e9e, telle que celle d\u2019un b\u00e2tonnet, d\u2019une fibre ou d\u2019un tube, deux dimensions externes \u00e9tant inf\u00e9rieures \u00e0 1 nm et l\u2019autre dimension sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 100 nm;<br\/>(c) la particule pr\u00e9sente une forme de plaque, une dimension externe \u00e9tant inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 1 nm et les autres dimensions sup\u00e9rieures \u00e0 100 nm.<br\/>Pour d\u00e9terminer la r\u00e9partition num\u00e9rique par taille des particules, il n\u2019est pas n\u00e9cessaire de prendre en consid\u00e9ration les particules ayant au moins deux dimensions externes orthogonales sup\u00e9rieures \u00e0 100 \u03bcm.<br\/>Un mat\u00e9riau pr\u00e9sentant une surface sp\u00e9cifique en volume
