This has led to a significant increase in the number and types of RAMAN devices available, with the need to ensure data exchange and consistency between devices and between different sampling configurations.<\/p>\n<p>As Raman spectroscopy is highly sensitive to instrument configuration and the physical characteristics of spectrum acquisition, users and institutions have noted a significant divergence in instrument performance and data reproduction capability. It is therefore essential to find ways of harmonizing data sharing, calibration and validation protocols for RAMAN instruments.<\/p>\n<p>Two CWA (<span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips12'>CEN<\/span> Workshop Agreement), the first step towards a standard, have just been launched.<\/p>\n<p>\u25b6 CWA 1: Raman devices calibration and verification protocols<br \/>\n\u25b6 CWA 2: Raman device twinning protocol<\/p>\n<p>The kick-off meeting will take place online on \ud83d\udcc5 February 28, 2024 and participation is open to all interested stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udd17 For more information <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cencenelec.eu\/news-and-events\/news\/2023\/workshop\/2023-12-20-raman-devices\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a><\/p>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"> toolTips('.classtoolTips1','Il esiste plusieurs d\u00e9finition d\\'un <span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips1'>nanomat\u00e9riau<\/span>. <br\/>Selon l\\'<span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips13'>ISO<\/span> 8004-1: mat\u00e9riau ayant une dimension ext\u00e9rieure \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle nanom\u00e9trique  ou ayant une structure interne ou une structure de surface \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle nanom\u00e9trique.<br\/><br\/>Selon la recommandation de d\u00e9finition europ\u00e9enne C(2022) 3689:<br\/>On entend par \u00abnanomat\u00e9riau\u00bb un mat\u00e9riau naturel, form\u00e9 accidentellement ou manufactur\u00e9, constitu\u00e9 de particules solides qui sont pr\u00e9sentes soit individuellement soit en tant que particules constitutives identifiables dans des agr\u00e9gats ou des agglom\u00e9rats, 50 % au moins de ces particules, dans la r\u00e9partition num\u00e9rique par taille, r\u00e9pondant au moins \u00e0 l\u2019une des conditions suivantes:<br\/>(a) une ou plusieurs dimensions externes de la particule se situent dans la fourchette de 1 nm \u00e0 100 nm;<br\/>(b) la particule pr\u00e9sente une forme allong\u00e9e, telle que celle d\u2019un b\u00e2tonnet, d\u2019une fibre ou d\u2019un tube, deux dimensions externes \u00e9tant inf\u00e9rieures \u00e0 1 nm et l\u2019autre dimension sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 100 nm;<br\/>(c) la particule pr\u00e9sente une forme de plaque, une dimension externe \u00e9tant inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 1 nm et les autres dimensions sup\u00e9rieures \u00e0 100 nm.<br\/>Pour d\u00e9terminer la r\u00e9partition num\u00e9rique par taille des particules, il n\u2019est pas n\u00e9cessaire de prendre en consid\u00e9ration les particules ayant au moins deux dimensions externes orthogonales sup\u00e9rieures \u00e0 100 \u03bcm.<br\/>Un mat\u00e9riau pr\u00e9sentant une surface sp\u00e9cifique en volume inf\u00e9rieure \u00e0 6 m2\/cm3 n\u2019est toutefois pas consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme un <span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips1'>nanomat\u00e9riau<\/span>.<br\/> Texte complet: https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/FR\/TXT\/HTML\/?uri=CELEX%3A32022H0614%2801%29'); <\/script><script type=\"text\/javascript\"> toolTips('.classtoolTips12','Comit\u00e9 Europ\u00e9en de Normalisation https:\/\/www.cencenelec.eu\/about-cen\/'); <\/script>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The use of RAMAN spectroscopy to characterize nanomaterials and micro\/nanoplastics is becoming increasingly common.
