agglomeration state of nano-objects<\/strong> constituting the substance and <strong>this characteristic is one of the most complicated for declarants to fill in<\/strong> with primary particle size, as identified in a 2023 survey of members of the NanoMesureFrance Association.<\/p>\n<p>A <strong>meeting <\/strong>on the subject of determining the agglomeration and aggregation state of nano-objects was organized.<strong> Tuesday April 23 <\/strong>with contributions from<strong> Charles Clifford (NPL \/ UK) <\/strong>which is working specifically on this subject, notably through various research projects, but also through the development of a Technical Specification at European standardization level (<a href=\"https:\/\/standards.cencenelec.eu\/dyn\/www\/f?p=205:7:0::::FSP_ORG_ID:508478&amp;cs=105D77E18D80442539DAD7D6A6B7EC5FA\"><span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips12'>CEN<\/span>\/TC 352 <em>Nanotechnologies<\/em><\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>An opportunity for the 34 participants :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>better understand the state of the art on this complex issue, for which a common definition of the terms used is key, with differences between what is considered at the level of international standardization (<span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips13'>ISO<\/span>) and the European regulatory framework,<\/li>\n<li>identify the measurands of interest to be considered and the relevant analytical techniques associated with each of them, depending on the sample form (colloidal suspension, powder, aerosol)<\/li>\n<li>to share their issues and recommendations for moving the subject forward.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>It's a complex subject, and there are still a number of stages to go through before we have a simple approach that will enable us to distinguish indisputably between a <span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips2'>Agglomeration<\/span> a <span class='tooltipsall tooltipsincontent classtoolTips4'>Aggregate<\/span>\u00a0!<\/strong><\/p>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"> toolTips('.classtoolTips2','Selon l\\'ISO 8004-1 (2023) : ensemble de particules faiblement ou moyennement li\u00e9es, dont l\u2019aire de la surface externe r\u00e9sultante est similaire \u00e0 la somme des aires de surface de chacun des composants individuels'); Une r\u00e9union sur le sujet de la d\u00e9termination de l\u2019\u00e9tat d\u2019agglom\u00e9ration et agr\u00e9gation de nano-objets a \u00e9t\u00e9 organis\u00e9e mardi 23 Avril avec la contribution de Charles Clifford (NPL \/ UK) qui travaille sp\u00e9cifiquement sur le sujet, notamment \u00e0 travers diff\u00e9rents projets de recherche, mais \u00e9galement le d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019une Sp\u00e9cification Technique au niveau de la normalisation europ\u00e9enne (CEN\/TC 352 Nanotechnologies). L\u2019occasion pour les 34 participants\u00a0: de mieux comprendre l\u2019\u00e9tat de l\u2019art sur cette probl\u00e9matique complexe pour laquelle une d\u00e9finition commune des termes utilis\u00e9s est cl\u00e9 avec des diff\u00e9rences entre ce qui est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 au niveau de la normalisation internationale (ISO) et le cadre r\u00e9glementaire europ\u00e9en, d\u2019identifier quels sont les mesurandes d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat \u00e0 consid\u00e9rer et les techniques analytiques pertinentes associ\u00e9es pour chacun d\u2019eux en fonction de la forme de l\u2019\u00e9chantillon (suspension collo\u00efdale, poudre, a\u00e9rosol) de partager leurs probl\u00e9matiques et leurs recommandations pour faire avancer le sujet.
