Our team <strong>Electrochemistry and Physicochemistry at Interfaces (<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ilv.uvsq.fr\/electrochimie-et-physicochimie-aux-interfaces-epi\"><strong>PPE<\/strong><\/a><strong>) from ILV, partner of NanoMesureFrance<\/strong>is involved in fundamental and applied research using electrochemistry and electronic spectroscopy to study in depth the physical chemistry of surfaces and interfaces of materials and devices with applications in a wide range of fields, including micro- and opto-electronics, semiconductors, photovoltaics, energy, corrosion, pharmaceuticals and cultural heritage. A surface analysis center (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ilv.uvsq.fr\/cefs2-1\"><strong>CEFS2<\/strong><\/a>), <u>which brings together state-of-the-art laboratory equipment for electronic spectroscopy, is part of the EPI research group.<\/u>.<\/p><p>Thanks to their versatility, electronic spectroscopies can be used in a wide range of applications. <strong>This webinar presents the capabilities of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Auger electron spectroscopy (AES)\/Scanning Auger microscopy (SAM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), used separately and in a complementary manner.<\/strong>. The use of a multi-technique approach provides a complete and reliable description of the <u>microstructure, morphology and chemistry<\/u>. Access to the <u>elementary surface composition, chemical environments or more physical information such as function or density of states, provides a global understanding of the problems we need to solve.<\/u>. These techniques also cover <strong>spatial resolutions ranging from millimetres to tens of nanometres<\/strong>This enables information to be obtained at different scales (laterally or at depth). Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 leur polyvalence, les spectroscopies \u00e9lectroniques peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9es dans de nombreux domaines d&rsquo;application. Ce webinaire propose de pr\u00e9senter les capacit\u00e9s de la spectroscopie photo\u00e9lectronique \u00e0 rayons X (XPS), de la spectroscopie \u00e9lectronique Auger (AES) \/ de la microscopie Auger \u00e0 balayage (SAM), de la microscopie \u00e9lectronique \u00e0 balayage (SEM) et de la spectroscopie \u00e0 dispersion d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie (EDS), utilis\u00e9es s\u00e9par\u00e9ment et de mani\u00e8re compl\u00e9mentaire. En effet, l&rsquo;utilisation d&rsquo;une approche multi-techniques permet d&rsquo;obtenir une description compl\u00e8te et fiable de la microstructure, de la morphologie et de la chimie. L&rsquo;acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la composition \u00e9l\u00e9mentaire de la surface, aux environnements chimiques ou \u00e0 des informations plus physiques telles que le fonctionnement ou la densit\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00e9tats permet une compr\u00e9hension globale des probl\u00e8mes que nous devons r\u00e9soudre. Ces techniques couvrent \u00e9galement des r\u00e9solutions spatiales allant du millim\u00e8tre \u00e0 la dizaine de nanom\u00e8tres, ce qui permet d&rsquo;obtenir des informations \u00e0 diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9chelles (lat\u00e9ralement ou en profondeur).
