In 2022, LNE organized a workshop to bring together nanomedicine players and high-level speakers to address the characterization and testing issues involved in bringing innovations in the field to market and patients (https://www.lne.fr/fr/actualites/nanomedecine-caracterisation-retours-workshop-2022).
This event was intended to be the starting point for the Groupe de travail Nanomedicine of the NanoMesureFrance Association.
His ambition was to share information on the regulatory framework in force, as well as the sector's expectations in terms of technical issues in the analytical or structuring the ecosystem. Information was also shared on funding opportunities at European level to develop and validate the characterization methods that may be lacking today.
The first event was a great success, with over 60 participantsThe participants are mainly from industry and academia, with representatives from the fields of nanomedicine, instrumentation and service provision.
The day's conclusions and identified courses of action were published in STP Pharma Pratiquesthe journal of the Société Française des Sciences et Techniques Pharmaceutiques, in an article entitled " Bridging regulatory needs and metrology support in nanomedicine: the importance of characterisation, accreditation and knowledge sharing ".
